Monotheism: Tawheed


Allah is the One True God worthy of worship.

Verily, I am Allah. There is no deity (ilah) worthy of worship except I. So worship Me (alone), and establish the prayer for My remembrance. (Quran 20:14)

Allah is the Creator, Maintainer and Lord of all that exists.

All praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of all existing worlds. (Quran 1:1)

Nothing happens except what Allah allows to happen.

And no calamity strikes except by Allah’s Permission. (Quran 64:11)

All worship must be directed towards Allah.

Say, "Verily, my prayers, my sacrifices, my living and my dying are all for Allah, the Lord of all that exists". (Quran 6:161-2)

We cannot imagine Allah, as nothing is comparable to His Majesty.

There is nothing similar to Him, and He is the All-Hearing, All-Seeing. (Quran 42:11)

Allah's Attributes are known through the revelation of the Quran and authentic Hadith.

And leave the company of those who belie (or deny) His Names (Quran 7:180)

Allah is above His Throne, above the Seven Heavens.

The Most Beneficent (Allah) rose over the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that befits His Majesty). (Quran 20:5)

Allah answers all prayers directly without intercession.

Verily, I am close to them (My servants), I listen to the prayer of everyone who calls on Me. (Quran 2:186)

Allah has full Knowledge of the hidden and the seen and has recorded it.

And with Him are the keys of all that is hidden, none knows them except Him. (Quran 6:59)

The Believers will see Allah only in the Hereafter.

Some faces that Day will be shining and resplendent, looking at their Lord. (Quran 75:22-3)
